Good Morning! And...it finally feels like a Spring Day here Today...A Daytime high of 50 degrees...I'll take it! The sun will feel even warmer :)

 

I shared my venture with using the clock cases...now I would like to share my use of vintage bird cages!

 

This is Anna Belle

 

 

I was looking at an antique bird cage on day and said to myself...that looks a bit like an old hoop skirt...and Voila! That's usually how these things start for me!

 

I made Anna into an old world angel...but she needed something in her cage...."Oh, look, Robin's on the front lawn" I said...My husband says "Always the first sign of Spring!"...ah-ha. Robin's in the birdcage.

 

So, of course, I go to the computer to Google Robin photos and I made these out of mohair.

 

I was really so thrilled with how she came out!

 

    

 

The to top it off~ my long time customer and wonderful friend Nancy purchased her for her new sitting room.

 

I couldn't have wanted a better story~ Thanks Nancy!

 

Now, off to the workshop....making that new pattern that I promised today! Hopefully, a photo tomorrow and the pattern for sale by the weekend...construction has already begun!
